PRIVACY POLICY
Third Party Advertising
The ads appearing on the networks are delivered by DoubleClick, our Web advertising partner. Information about your visit to the sites in our networks, such as number of times visited and viewed an ad (but not your name, address, or other personal information), is used to serve ads to all sites within our network reach.
Third Party Cookies
In the course of serving advertisements to a site within our network, our third-party advertiser may place or recognize a unique cookie on your browser.
1. No personal information is used by DoubleClick or AdLINK to deliver Internet ads.
DoubleClick and AdLINK do not use your name, address, email address, or phone number to deliver Internet ads. DoubleClick does use information about your browser and Web surfing to determine which ads to show your browser.
2. You can control the technologies used to collect information during ad serving.
DoubleClick and AdLINK ask website operators to link from their privacy policy to theirs to allow consumers to opt-out of the DoubleClick ad-serving cookie, so that no unique information or number is associated with your computer's browser if you choose. Click here for the ad-serving cookie opt-out. You can also use P3P to control your browser’s interaction with cookies.
3. DoubleClick encourages all companies with which they do business to engage in fair information practices.
DoubleClick asks that these companies disclose their relationship with us by providing notice to consumers about the DoubleClick technologies that they use.
4. DoubleClick as a technology service provider:
In most cases, when you see an Internet ad within the networks, DoubleClick has been asked by AdLINK to act as an agent for ad delivery, reporting or analysis of usage at that website. The information DoubleClick processes on such a AdLINK’s behalf belongs to that website and is not further used by DoubleClick or AdLINK. DoubleClick and AdLINK do not own the information collected and cannot use it for its own business purposes (besides selling advertising) or in any way not authorized by the website.
5. The promises we make about information you give us online should be upheld.
DoubleClick and AdLINK may change its policy as new products are added or old ones are changed, but DoubleClick and AdLINK treat information it owns in a manner consistent with the policy under which it was collected, unless we have your consent to use it differently.
6. You shouldn't just have to take our word for it.
DoubleClick is a member of the Network Advertising Initiative and has been reviewed for compliance with NAI principles. We also engaged a nationally recognized independent accounting firm to examine our specific assertions about the internal controls we maintain over the privacy, security and data integrity of our DART ad-serving product. These assertions were created to affirm our compliance with DoubleClick's Agreement with the Attorneys General of the States of Arizona, California, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, Vermont, and Washington, and the consolidated Settlement Agreement and Release in the actions entitled Inc. . The accounting firm found that our controls were adequate to satisfy the criteria for the assertions.
