08.08.2005 Press release: Successful first six months for AdLINK Montabaur, August 8, 2005. The first half-year of 2005 has been a successful period for . There were significant improvements in both sales and earnings and the company posted a positive EBT result. Compared with the same period last year, raised sales in the first half of 2005 by 58 percent to € 36.0 million (prior year: € 22.8 million). Earnings also improved strongly. EBITDA grew from € -0.1 million to € 1.3 million and EBT from € -2.4 million (including EUR 2.0 million of goodwill amortization) to € 0.9 million. Earnings per share (EPS) improved from EUR -0.10 to EUR -0.01. However due to minority interests EPS remained slightly negative. “We are very satisfied with how business progressed. We succeeded in continuing the positive trend of 2004 into the first half of this year and made significant improvements in profitability,” says Guy Challen, CFO of . The improved result was due both to the profitability of the new acquisitions affilinet and Sedo as well as to enhanced earnings in the company’s traditional business segments. “By acquiring affilinet and Sedo on April 1, we were able to complement our existing product range and can now offer advertisers and agencies almost the entire range of online marketing services from a single source, helping them to optimize their digital marketing mix spending. We thus succeeded in strengthening and extending our position as a leading European supplier of digital communication solutions,” explains Marc Stilke, Executive Board member of . “Market volume of online advertising will continue to grow significantly in 2005. We operate in very fast growing segments of the online marketing business and thus expect to benefit more than average from market growth. We are therefore optimistic about both sales and earnings in the second half of the year and expect strong improvements.”
