Press release: Successful first half-year 2007 for AdLINK Group

Montabaur, August 8, 2007. can look back on a successful first six months on the whole to 2007. Figures published today for the first half-year 2007 confirm further growth in sales and earnings.

Despite the fact that the second quarter failed to match the company’s own expectations, succeeded in posting year-on-year sales growth of 20.8 percent from EUR 86.4 million to EUR 104.4 million in the first half of 2007. There was also an improvement in the company’s key earnings ratios. Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) rose by 165.2 percent, from EUR 11.2 million to EUR 29.7 million. Earnings before taxes (EBT) improved by 89.2 percent, from EUR 9.3 million to EUR 17.6 million. These earnings figures include non-recurring income of EUR 16.8 million resulting from the contribution of our shares in AdLINK Switzerland and AdLINK Austria to Goldbach Media AG and an impairment charge of EUR 9.4 million following the restructuring of our French and UK markets. The net positive effect influences EBITDA by EUR 16.8 million and EBT by EUR 7.4 million. Earnings per share (EPS) improved by 233.3 percent from EUR 0.15 to EUR 0.50.

“On the whole, we are satisfied with the development of business in the first half of 2007,” says Andreas Janssen, CFO of . “We were able to sustain the positive trend of 2006 and achieve growth in all three segments – Display Marketing, Domain Marketing and Affiliate Marketing. The first six months were dominated by investments in our business. The international expansion and further development of our affiliate platform and investment in our “branded response” optimization technology will enable us to tap into additional growth trends,” explains Janssen.

Apart from these key financial figures, progress was also made in all relevant market figures of the AdLINK Group’s three segments:

In Display Marketing, the number of unique users per month increased from 67.1 million to over 77.7 million. The average number of page impressions generated per month on websites marketed by AdLINK Media also grew from 6.5 billion to 8.2 billion.

In Affiliate Marketing, our specialist company affilinet achieved growth in both advertising partners and reach. The number of suppliers of affiliate programs rose from 1,200 last year to over 1,500. The number of affiliated websites increased from 370,000 to 400,000 and ad impressions generated per month improved from 4.1 billion to over 5.2 billion.

In Domain Marketing, the number of domains offered for trading by Sedo grew from 5.3 million last year to 7.9 million. Over 3.6 million of these domains (prior year: 1.5 million) are available for marketing purposes.

Despite the fact that the second quarter failed to meet our own expectations, we believe that we can benefit from dynamic market growth in 2007 and achieve our planned increases in sales and earnings.”
