United Internet restructures Online Marketing segment and sells its investments in affilinet and Sedo to

AdLINK is now Europe’s leading provider of online marketing services


Montabaur, April 25, 2005. United Internet AG is to sell its investments in affilinet GmbH (shareholding: 100 percent) and Sedo GmbH (shareholding: 51.07 percent) for around EUR 30 million to . At the same time, United Internet will provide finance for the deal at standard market conditions. In fiscal year 2004, the two companies generated sales of EUR 26.7 million and an EBT of EUR 4.3 million. AdLINK (United Internet shareholding: 82.44 percent) will thus become Europe’s leading provider of online marketing services. Marc Stilke, currently responsible for the Online Marketing segment of United Internet, is to be appointed as a further member of the Executive Board of .

"The sale means that our entire activities in the Online Marketing segment are now managed by ,” says Ralph Dommermuth, CEO of United Internet AG. "affilinet and Sedo will gain access to AdLINK’s pan-European sales organization and advertising client base, making their own international expansion even more effective.” In the coming years, online advertising is expected to account for a significantly higher proportion of total advertising spending. The growing importance of the online marketing sector is also reflected by personnel changes announced by United Internet AG and : Marc Stilke, currently General Manager with responsibility for the Online Marketing segment of United Internet AG, is to be appointed as a further member of the Executive Board of as of April 25, 2005.

Montabaur, 25. April 2005. Die United Internet AG verkauft ihre Beteiligungen an der affilinet GmbH (Anteil: 100 Prozent) und der Sedo GmbH (Anteil: 51,07 Prozent) für ca. 30 Mio. EUR an die . Gleichzeitig stellt United Internet die Finanzierung zu marktüblichen Konditionen bereit. Die beiden Gesellschaften haben im Jahr 2004 bei einem Umsatz in Höhe von 26,7 Mio. EUR ein EBT in Höhe von 4,3 Mio. EUR erwirtschaftet. AdLINK (United Internet Anteil: 82,44 Prozent) wird damit zum führenden Online-Marketing-Dienstleister in Europa. Marc Stilke, bislang bei United Internet für das Segment Online Marketing verantwortlich, wird zum weiteren Vorstandsmitglied der bestellt.
